Reference Librarian (FT)

Grant CPL- a big, beautiful county library nestled halfway between Cincinnati and Lexington, and only 15 minutes from Florence- is seeking to hire a full-time Reference Librarian.

 

The ideal candidate will have a background in library and information literacy instruction, archival equipment, and genealogy software.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Daily Reference Desk shifts

  • Phone and online reference and information services

  • Manage Local History and Genealogy services

​

Library instruction and educational focuses:  

  • Research process and citation basics

  • Instruct patrons in how to use the library catalog and databases

  • Instruct patrons in how to use Preservation Lab equipment

​

Education: Master’s degree in Library Science or related field preferred

Experience: One (1) year of more in a public or academic library preferred; One (1) or more year of library instruction experience preferred; Experience with technology such as online databases and MS Office products

Salary: Begins at $22/hr ($42,900/yr), commensurate with work and education 

Job Type: Full time 

Hours: 37.5 hr. per week, includes evenings and weekends

Outreach Coordinator (FT)

Grant CPL- a big, beautiful county library nestled halfway between Cincinnati and Lexington, and only 15 minutes from Florence- is seeking to hire a full-time Outreach Services Coordinator.

 

The ideal candidate will have a background in library services, computer basics, and a current driver’s license.

​​

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Driving a library outreach vehicle to areas throughout the county; primarily for library services to homebound and seniors.

  • Providing Circulation services.

  • Engaging relevant senior organizations in Grant County to identify library service needs.

 

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, Educational field preferred, Library field prioritized 

 

Experience: 

  • Minimum one year experience in a public library preferred.

  • Minimum one year experience working in a library setting preferred.

Salary: Begins at $35,100.

Job Type: Full time.

Hours: 37.5 weekly, including some evenings and weekends.

Reports to: Circulation Manager
